Mate the print industry is in big s*** at the moment, My Aunt worked at Buckleys in Stockport for 40 years and that went pop last year - she was gutted. but recently i was speaking to someone who works at a place in Oldham and he is busy. i'll have a butchers and see if i can find the name and address.

power - not easy but try and be a bit more positive and upbeat sounding.
There might be someone on here that could help - your post comes across as pretty negative even if your situation is sh1te.
Stuff like - I'm very good at (whatever) or I've managed x number of people or similar.

If an employer catches that "vibe" of yours they'll ignore you.

very true but its not easy to be upbeat at the moment. ive spent 2 days now looking through the job sites, phoning all the companies i can think of in hope there might be something but there really is nothing out there. theres that many out of work that all the jobs have gone even the lowest paid due to people needing something

power - I have been in a similar situation and ended up doing site labouring. Not fun at all but kept me busy. Done all sorts of ****e jobs to fill in.

It's a cr4p situation but it'll honestly be cr4pper if you let it get you down so much that people pick up on it.

It's easy to get caught up in the gloom of everything and end up so down that things get worse. Positive people are often a pain in the backside but they do get the best jobs!

Sorry - not all that helpful really but hopefully things will work out.

Don't worry too much about keeping upbeat, as you should expect to feel like ****e as you've just been laid off. Trying to look upbeat will make you seem like a fecking loony tunes. Take a methodical approach to this; try calling round today, visit the job centre tomorrow, post CV's on monster.com, SHSL.com and a few others and then look into retraining as an option.

Keep yourself busy... if you think about it your "job" now is to get another job, and just by seeing how determined you are I'm convinced you'll do it.... but be organised, think smart about it all
