House insurance query
I wonder if people have any views/ideas on the following story?
My sister bought her house about 5 years ago, when she had a survey done the surveyor mentioned signs of subsidence. She had another survey done which said this was nonsense and their was no evidence of this at all. But because of this first surveyor mentioning the dreaded S word, she can now only ever get insurance through one company and subsequently pays through the nose for it.
Is there any way to get this original survey ignored, given that subsequent surveys have shown it to be incorrect? The house is Victorian and therefore apparently unlikely to suddenly start subsiding.
Cheers,
Paul.
