Policewoman from TSG seeking damages!
You may have already seen the story, a woman was "bullied" to leave the Police Tactical Support Group as she was 11 weeks pregnant. She then went onto maternaty leave and on her return requested light duties (still in the TSG!) she was told to either come back as is, or move to a different area/department.... so she decided to stay as is.
She's now claiming she was bullied into staying and has now caught some undisclosed type of virus (allegedly that could mean she'll end up in a wheelchair) due to all the stress her employer put her under. Which her GP say's could be a reason she became susceptible to the virus in the first place.
1. You're pregnant; you cannot be part of the TSG.
2. There are no "light duties" in the TSG.
3. You chose to remain in the TSG.
4. Don't let the door hit you in the **** on the way out.
Now **** off out of it and stop trying to claim a few hundred thousand in compensation......

Yes, agreed, but in PC-NL-UK-PLC she will get the money and in the process damage the chances of other females who want to join the TSG and S.O. units and contribute to the police and our safety!

It is incumbent on an employer to provide suitable employment for pregnant women. This is no different in the armed forces. How many pilots do you think would be able to remain on flying duties when they announce their pregnancy, how many women do think would stay in operational areas if they announced that they where pregnant? SO units and TSG are no different; by removing the pregnant woman from these duties they have exercised their duty of care!

Almost as bad as that asian second cheif of police (or whatever the position is called, the one down from the top man), he only got that far up because everytime he didnt get a promotion he went for, he claimed rascism; won and got compo. He then claimed he was ostrascised (spelling?) by his fellow officers because he pulled the race card, and got another compo payout!
Why cant these people just accept there are better people out there and not everything will go your way, so if your beaten fair and square, dont take industrial action, work on getting better at what you do!
As for the woman, she must realise TSG is no place for a pregnant woman, or light duties, but she has seen an oppportunity for compo, and now has pound signs in front of her eyes!
The problem is, under nu labias britain, she will get it!
PC bollocks, the lot of it!
