Default Yay, I've been scammed on Ebay

Seems I've joined the club. Since I am new to all this, how do I go about claiming my money back through Paypal?

Do I do it via Ebay or direct through paypal?

Any help appreciated, and no its wasn't Hightee butfck or whoever she was!

Cheers

Just out of interest, what was it for? I've been lucky enough not to be scammed so far, and I am just wondering what particular products are scammed the most.

Well its pretty relevent to this site I suppose, Turbosmart dumpvalve.

I stumbled upon it with not long to go, and didn't check the persons history and made a bid. The feedback at the time was 100% but I didn't notice there were only a few purchases made. Since winning the bid, paying straight away etc the feedback has gone down, surprise surprise failed to deliver goods. 3 weeks have passed now, I mailed her a week ago demanding the DV and got a reply saying it would be here a week ago. Sent her another mail yesterday saying hasn't arrived and want a full refund within 24 hours - no reply.

Here it is

turbosmart blow off valve brand new in box subaru , evo on eBay, also Engine Tuning Parts, Performance Tuning Parts, Car Tuning Styling, Cars, Parts Vehicles (end time 30-Mar-09 17:24:55 BST)

Prefer it if you guys keep to the TC's regarding all this!

Whenever I sell an item I usually post it within 2 working days (obviously once I've been paid), that's due to the location of my local post office and the hassle it is for me to get there after work.

People that fail to post within 5 working days of receiving cleared funds are a feckin pain in the ****. What's worse is when you then have to chase around after them trying to sort it out.

Annoying isn't the word.... and you know she'll just set up a new Ebay account and start all over again!

Thanks Powerwrx, just did the request.

I wouldn't worry fella, he'll be more concerned that you now have his details than the other way round.

So "scoobygirl2009" is in fact registered as a "scoobydude" ....... if you look at the feedback it does look like 123mggirl bought that BOV (or an identical one a week before) it could be a case of that being another account used by the seller to bump up the bid price, however if that is the case then it backfired as they had the winning bid.

Sorry to put more of a downer on it, but I also got scammed a couple of years ago and the scammer gave me a false address, so I didn't get anything back (paid direct from bank not paypal)
I only found out the address was wrong about 18 months later when the police asked me to make a statement as they had caught the scammer - he had scammed between 50-60 thousand pound before he was caught

Well the paypal account is in a girls name, raised a dispute there, this is what I said:

"Ebay auction #270363063324

Won item on 30th March 2009 and paid straight away.
Asked on 31st when item will be sent. No reply
On 3rd April asked again, warning I would dispute this if no reply. You responded saying it was sent on this day, 3rd April.
I waited.
12th April you send me a message saying it will be with me on Tuesday. Since 12th April is a Sunday I assume tuesday with be the 14th April. I waited until the 20th of April and still no item delivered, so I sent you a message on the 20th asking for a refund. You have not replied, so I have raised this dispute."

Fortunately paypal should refund you as the only reason they do pay out is non-receipt.

They don't pay out for damaged / faulty items!!
