Default gas barbecue

just bought one, its hard to explain
but i wondered where i put my lava rocks?

in the very bottom of it, which will be underneath or level to the gas jets,

or on the lowest metal grill,

can anyone give me a few pointers please,

Lowest metal grill.

Should have a lower metal grill just above the burners, put the rocks on there, cook on the upper grill

Don't expect great things from it until you've used it a few times and the rocks have soaked up a bit of fat from your cooking etc. Also fire it up for a good few minute before you actually want to cook so the lava rock gets nice and hot.

yes thats what i thought, they wouldnt get hot around the nozzles would they, thats great, im half tempted to get it going this weekend
any other tips.

Put it back in the box, take it back to the shop and apologise to the assistant for having a moment of gayness, then pull yourself together and purchase a proper charcoal burner.

Indeed, you might aswell just use the gas hob in the kitchen, buy some bricks and a grill ftw
