Question Assured Shorthold Tenancy Question

I have a room in a shared house - Landlord absent.

This is a 6 month contract and is due to expire in a couple of days time - a fixed TERM.

At no point in the contract is there anything to do with renewal or staying on after.

"The landlords let and the tenants take the property for the term at the rent payable as above. Should any of the tenants leave, one month's notice must be given to the Landlords"

I have had a look at Housing Act 1988 (c. 50)

the relevant housing Act (1988 Ss 20/21/22) & can't see any mention.

Question is, that on the end of the TERM can I just walk out and expect to get my deposit back? There's nothing in the contract that I can see that implies I am obliged to give notice to leave after the TERM.

Thanks

Puff

from Tenancy Agreement Service.

It's all in the timing.

Haha, the words 'tough' and '****' spring to mind. Some landlords have no idea what they're doing.
