Default Panasonic Plasma Problems

As per title,I have had a Panasonic Viera 37" Plasma and recently whilst playing Call of Duty 4 online the TV goes onto 720p output and not 1080p.The Playstation menu is in 1080p but as soon as the game starts its straight onto 720p.
Any ideas??

TIA

PS3 Call of Duty 4 is only 720p - Sadly downconverts to 480p on 1080i sets - Gamers Reports Forum

Do you mean single player is 720p Torquemada ?.According to the blurb on the case its 720p, 1080i and 1080p.Did you play with the tv settings mad555 ?.Maybe the tv can't cope with many players on at any one moment & changes to 720p that could be it or not, i don't know.

The game will only output at 720p regardless of what the PS3 is set to output. that's why it's a bit of a con as very few games actually output at 1080p. Nothing wrong with your TV. it's how the game is made.
