does anyone know what the clips are called which holds the weights onto a bar? not the spin lock ones the other kind can't rember the name of them i brought some of ebay ages ago need some more!

Depends on the size of the bar but I assume you are after the standar size and not the olympic size.

You have collars and spring locks or "bow clips" as they are sometimes called, you squeeze the two legs inwards to expand the collar and let go to contract it (locking the clip in position).

I went for a combination, the spring locks for quick release and locking collars for the more heavy duty olympic bars.
