How much electricity do you use?
Having a fight with the electric company so curious about other peoples usage.
2 Bed flat, electric heating and hot water on for 5 hours/day, usual kitchen things, nothing flash, Boiler is rated at 5kW but it won't be drawing that the whole time it's on, even if it was, that would only account for 25kW/h and we're averaging 47!
So what size house and how many units in a billing period?

owch; we average 15kw/h a day (1370kWh over the winter quarter):
4 bed house, gas everything execpt the oven.
So thats just running the lights dishwasher/kettle/oven/washing machine/dryer/hairdryer (well, it is nearly 2kw
)

Thx, I had ordered a monitor already, will keep an eye on it. (A lot of that thread mentions cost and not units but I'm focusing on units)
I found this interesting govt data on consumption for 2007 but find it inconceivable that I'm using FOUR times the average for my area.

My previous usage (1st December 08 until 31st Dec 08) was 20.17 kWh per Day
Current (Am on Bi-Monthly billing, so 1st Jan until 1st March) was 19.57 kWh per Day
Does your provider have any kind of online customer account section? My provider does and they have a rather nice usage section, one of the options allows you to compare your usage to others in your street.
