Fecking Pikeys !!!
Just had our boiler replaced and the old one, still worth £200 or so, vaillant model, was put outside our front door/we have a garden etc so not directly on the path or anything and a van pulled up and they nicked it !!!!!!!
the fecking annoying thing is my missus was reversing out the drive, the van was oppsoite our drive up a little bit and it moved up for her to reverse out, she tooted to say thanks, she saw a guy walk over to our front door but presumed he was with the guy fitting the new boiler, thought no more and continued driving.
when she got 10 mins later (pickin kids up from school) the boiler wasnt there and the fitter was like they werent with me.
Im very very about the whole thing, to start with he was shocked i wanted to keep the old one, was passing it onto my brother in law as it still worked, then, my missus tells the fitter she will be leaving in 10 to pick kids up, right at that time these pikeys turn up, when she returned and told the fitter,he was erm erm when she said she was phoning the old bill, which she did and got a crime number, he was then out the front door on his mobile for 5 mins as she told him she had the reg number etc and van details.
what to do ?????
its the principle of the whole thing, he`s contiuing to fit the new boiler as if nothing has happened etc
i asked about his company insurance in such matters,he was its never happened before.
so,what to do ????

Do you reckon the fitter tipped them off?
Sometimes you can benefit from the pikeys desire to nick anything - by putting something out the front (say a washing machine) in the box the new one came in ..... won't be long before they take it away for you!! They never look inside, it just looks new and left on the drive!!

No need to box them, they will go anyway, i changed my dads washing machine a week or so ago, and the one that i took out looked like it was about 20 years old.
I put it on the front garden in the hope a pikester would have it away and within 30 mins it was gone!

Pikey crimes are difficult to investigate, difficult to prove and are harder work given the police are about Targets (Blaming NL, not the police for this but it is the case in most instances).
Even arresting a pikey will mean bail for the scumbag and he will then dissappear never to be seen again - waste of Police time - a gallon of petrol thrown over the odd pikey van followed by a match is a much better idea!
Most are scum who should be removed from society - IMHO

Unfortunately the price of scrap is up again - hence my daughter's small village school losing the lead of it's roof over the weekend!
The thing is even if you have the reg of the van it won't be registered to anyone. These theiving scum of the earth pikey barstewards know they are above the law - the police daren't go near.
My guess is the boiler fitter is clearly getting a backhander by tipping them off.
Friends recently had a new kitchen fitted. Only a matter of days later they were burgled - though entry was gained by unlocking a door......? And the german shephard did nothing (usually a lively dog) he clearly knew / recognised the theives.
Police said it is common place now after having workmen in.
My advice - claim of his insurance and STEP UP YOUR SECURITY!

Whilst travelling yesterday went past a transit pick-up that was loaded sky high with scrap metal, the vast majority of it was village signs, led copper, and a few boilers washing machines ect.
considered calling the police but knew it wasnt worth the hassle.
