Default Any CCTV buffs? Advice needed

I'm after putting a CCTV system up on my home and i am coming across a maize of stuff on the web.

My requirements are:

1 x PTZ (Pan, tilt, zoom) front of house - must be nightvision/IR

1 x small static camera in porch, again nightvision

1 x static camera on rear of house - nightvision

DVR Network recorder with software compatible with Macs

1 x controller for PTZ

They need to be decent cameras with clear picture

I'm struggling to find suitable products for Mac's and it would be nice to be able to control the PTZ remotely, although I doubt possible on my budget

Budget is £900.00

If you were not tied down to a mac platform you could do this for £900. Would not be the best quality but it would give you remote PTZ, atleast a week recording time and scope to upgrade later. But I dont know of anything in this price that works with mac?

DVR digital video recorders

1 x 1504NET 4 Channel DVR with Motion detection, alarm input/output, remote control 250GB £299

Dome Camera

2 x static IR Dome 105IR/M143AI 2.8-12mm VF lens £230 (for 2)

1 x PTZ Dome V107/Z240 £245 + £20 wall bracket

The only problem with this set up is the PTZ cam is not IR (I am not aware of any) so you would need to get an IR flood. £65

So roughly, £859. You will also need some cable (£30 ish), a decent PSU to run the cams (£20) and some connectors (£5 - £10).

HTH!

Hi Billy,

What about this system

Complete System

and then add the PTZ camera you recommended with a controller and bracket.

I could just not use one of the cameras that comes with the kit.

What do you think?
