Hotels/Go Karting/Etc in Bristol
#1
Well, it's been decided my Stag weekend will be in Bristol some time in April.
We figured with our youthful looks (bad joke!) we might pass as students and be able to enjoy a night out without being turned away from clubs.
Does anyone know of any good hotels around the Bristol area, may be one with a swimming pool/sauna?
We have heard about Ice-go karting in Bristol, anyone experienced that or knows of a really good curcuit locally?
What about cider tasting, I heard there are some very famous places, anyone know where?
Cheers, Alan

There is a karting place in Avonmouth, other half didn't think much of it though.
We tend to use Supakart at Newport, only 20-25 mins from M4/M5 Interchange. Not far at all really. Quite an interesting track.
As for hotels, sorry we don't really use them. Don't go into Bristol City if I can help it. There are loads around though.

Can't recommend a hotel as I live here, but for a stag weekend best get a hotel in the centre, much easier for going out/getting back to

The Raceway at Portishead is the karting track - not a bad figure of 8, same company as the Newport track.
Best hotel in the city centre is the Marriott Royal (used to be Swallow Royal)which has a great leisure centre, secure parking, and is stumbling distance from some good pubs/clubs. For cheap and cheerful, the City Inn has the best rooms at under £50 a night.
