Tanks to lead soldiers in town-centre march - Northampton Chronicle and Echo

An army regiment has invited the people of Northampton to line the streets when 150 soldiers take part in a tank-led parade next week.
The 9th/12th Lancers, a reconnaissance regiment which recruits in Northamptonshire, spent half of last year in Iraq and the parade has been organised to mark the success of the deployment.

Two Scimitar light tanks will lead the parade when it starts in the Market Square at noon on Wednesday.


Good and i am sure that they will have a great day as will those who attend, me included.

I do hope the scumbag anti British anti forces w@nkers keep away and do something constructive with their time.

Whilst i will not be looking for trouble or confrontation if they do cause a commotion then I for one will not make them welcome!

For the first time in 15 months I think it's a shame I don't work in Northampton any more. I can't be there, but will offer my support vicariously by telling my ex-colleagues to pop along!
