WHAT???
What an absolute hypocrite, he played the press like a harp when it suited him and now has the nerve to moan about coverage? He courted press coverage like never before in this sort of case and if we're talking about Maddy being used as a commodity then he was treating her as pure Gold from the get go.

But they put themselves in the media spotlight from the word go. Then later refuse to answer questions about her disappearance and go 'no reply' in police interviews - and then wonder why the press start coming out with their stories.

Maybe if he and his equally appalling wife had treated Madeleine more like a child and less like a lifestyle accessory he wouldn't now be in the position where he needs to make this sort of statement

Whatever you think of his character, and that of Mosley as well, they still had a good point with their criticism of the media and its OTT and often unfair actions in the name of sensationalism.
