Unhappy Have i lost my parcel?

I took a postage paid parcel to the Post Office about a week ago. The queue was so long i left the parcel at the big window but the recipient has not received it.

I have been back to the PO but was told that i should have queued and got a receipt. Anyway, the thing has disappeared off the face of the earth, more likely stolen

Is my parcel gone forever? I thought everyone left parcels at the big window. Is there anything i can do?

Nothing of any great value in the Parcel but i now have to pay for the missing item

Sorry love but that wasnt the best thing to do now was it?

If i want to post something i post it, not leave it in the same building and hope it miraculously finds its way to the recipient!

I may come across as harsh but you should have queued!

no offence meant but waht a "woman" thing to do, you werent blonde that day were you?

I posted a parcel with proof of posting and it took about 2 weeks to get there. I think that was how long before you could claim even with proof of posting.

It was left with all the other parcels that people had been bothered to queue up with. To tell the truth, a woman behind me told me to leave it, Maybe she wanted to make the queue shorter

btw, you need to check your spelling its pretty bad

Since you don't know where the parcel is, I'd stick my neck out and say yes, your parcel is lost! This answer was passed on to me by the "No **** Sherlock" guru.

Sara, even if you don't have a recept still put a claim in after 15 days after you 'dumped' your parcel at the round window, maybe Humpty and Floella Bemjamin are taking it personally
