Selling car issue
Sold my 320d on ebay and the guy came to pick it up. Whilst I was getting all the documents together I noticed I haven't got the current MOT but did have it as I taxed the car 3 months ago.
The guy phoned the MOT hotline and when he gave them the reg number and the ref number from the V5 they said they didnt match their records.
I have all the documents going back to when the car was new showing the correct vin and engine number but it worries me that the V5 issued by the DVLA isn't recognised by them....so the guy has gone away without the car (which i can understand)
I need to phone the issuing garage to get a duplicate but dont know what to do about the other issue.

there is always mistakes on the DVLA database, I had a similiar prob when I went to sell my 5 door Golf, it was only as I was gathering the papers together that I realised the V5 said 3 door.
I rang VW and they were very helpful, said they would write me a letter confirming the fact that it was a 5 door, so I could get the V5 changed

Got the issue sorted. Duplicate MOT coming tomorrow and DVLA said all docs were fine but said its an issue between their and VOSAs database.
Spoke to VOSA and they said 'yeah this sometimes happens, ah well'.
Unfortunately DVLA wont speak to the guy to say its all ok unless Im there (or together on the phone) which I would like him to do just to put his mind at rest.
