just had a call from my holiday provider - the dream holiday I had booked for me + the girl in the seychelles is off, cause the bloody hotel has burnt down!

I dont really fancy going there now - it's put a real downer on it all!

can anyone suggest a nice place to go for 8 days or so, pref. sunny and loads of things to do?? (but not majorca, et al pls!)

I thought Mauritius(St Geran) was better than Seychelles but probably down to the difference in the hotel. Mauritius was also more expensive when there and the sea was colder. Bird Island is excellent in Seychelles but you really need to be the Robinson Cruso type or you'd be bored out of your skull. Let us know what you do
