And the Magpies contine to brush to rubbish teams away in their quest for The Premiership.
Now 2nd place, with game in hand on Man Utd which, if we won, would take us top.

To paraphrase Kevin Keegan,
"I would just love it if Newcastle beat them"
them being Manchester United of course.
Seriously even though I'm not a Newcastle fan I would love to see them go on and win it now. It would be great for football if just for once the team no one tipped at the start of the season could do it. I just hope the cup doesn't become a distraction to them.

tiggers.

they have certainly had an infuence especially warren barton who has been an instant crowd pleaser cant understand why Newcastle let him go so easily.
I dont think weve seen the best of Rob lee yet it must be a big shock having to play next to darryl powell it'll take him a couple of games to learn NOT to pass the ball to him.

Can't speak highly enough of Warren Barton's character - the guy went through a phase a couple of seasons ago of getting absolutely slaughtered by our fans during matches, which I found disgusting.
The bloke didn't shirk ANY responsibility, and ALWAYS wanted the ball. He won all those fans over and they realised the guy would give 100% every game, which is all you can ask of someone.
I'd love to see him come back as a coach.
As for Rob Lee, he's one of the best midfield holding men in the Premiership. He may not look it, but he's as strong as an Ox and a top notch all-round midfielder. Only trouble is he's getting on a bit, and is picking up injuries when he never used to, so he won't play every week.
Hope you're club stay in the Premiership.
