Just set up a new eBay account for the missus and listed 3 items to sell and in 'My Ebay' they now appear under 'selling' menu as active.

However, when doing a search for them, they don't appear anywhere and when you look up the user name under the community tab, it says there are no items for sale.

Is there any reason why? Is there a time-delay before your selling account becomes active?

Yes there is a delay, look in the FAQ's on there, it can be up to about 6-10 hours, something daft like that
