Outrage because he uttered the word scottish... if he had not used that, the whole matter would have been ignored.
No one is upset about the comments, just the "racial slur"

Is it not xenaphobic(sp) if it's a regional insult, so to speak rather than racist?

Probably. Maybe he should have called him a "Black Welsh Bas*ard" and there wouldn't be any confusion.

I like the comment "...a reflection of Jeremy Clarkson...."

Um no, a reflection of the majority of the UK population (although scottish people would probably leave out the one eyed bit)

I liked:

"Or if he had wandered around the stage with one eye shut, bumping into things while sticking his tongue inside his bottom lip and banging the backs of his hands together while screaming 'och aye the noo, I'm Gordon the spazzy', then yes, that is perhaps going a bit too far."

How long before Nu labour make it a criminal offence to speak of Gormless McMental in any way other than glowing praise?

Well done Clarkson.

Why does somebody disability cause you all so much glee??
Sure attack the guy if you don't like his politics or the way he's running the country, but why this endless fixation (from certain muppet SN members anyway) with the fact that the guy lost an eye, I mean how is that even remotely funny?
Maybe we should all be happy and have a good laugh at the fact that one of his children died, I mean come on guys that must be hillarious to some of you.

Fuking saddos

Too true - I always like these media 'outrages'

"Mr Gray said: "Such a comment is really a reflection on Jeremy Clarkson and speaks for itself."

...Yes it does Mr Gray, but what does it say? Does it say that he has an opinion and a large number of British tax payers may agree with this?

Martin, you should really just stay on the forums for Guardian readers, this place makes you too angry, it's not good for you.
