Clarkson in trouble again, this time for telling the truth!

Why does somebody disability cause you all so much glee??
Sure attack the guy if you don't like his politics or the way he's running the country, but why this endless fixation (from certain muppet SN members anyway) with the fact that the guy lost an eye, I mean how is that even remotely funny?
Maybe we should all be happy and have a good laugh at the fact that one of his children died, I mean come on guys that must be hillarious to some of you.

I actually love Jeremy from distance, but I have to admit to the shortcomings of that wrinkly, fat-bellied, motormouth, corkend-ish, midlife crisis hit boyracer Clarkson

I haven't seen anyone on this thread displaying "glee" over the fact that he has one eye.
Pointing it out yes, and making some amusing comments, but I don't see anyone saying "I'm glad he lost his eye coz I hate him!"

He is not such a genius on this occasion. He has played a cheap and commonly used dice for publicity. Doubtlessly it should bring him more fortune from the masses, but with the critical and personal eye of mine, nothing extraordinary this time; to be classed as a genius.
Both Jeremy and I admire a man in common, though. his name is Hugh Grant Jeremy stands out for that, as liking for Hugh Grant is slightly extraordinary.

See! You didn't have to call him Scottish this- and- that, nor did you have to look into his glass eye You can still slate him effectively without going HA-HA to his other holes. (Please don't mock the "hole" word )

That's what they fail to see: the ONLY real way of 'hurting' a TV celebrity is to ignore them and don't tune in to their programs. Viewing figures fall, they become expendable and can't afford to say anything controversial that might give the execs a chance to pull them off air.
I'm a big fan of JC though!
Hugh grant is a t*at! cheating on Liz Hurley with a cheap *****, indeed!

At last someone has publicly denounced the fool and said what a lot of the country are thinking (minus the one eyed part as I didn't know that either).
If it's such an outrage lets have a referendum to see how many of the UK agree with JC's opinions

Whoa there Super-PC-Man!
You have a pop at Clarkson for insulting people then do the same yourself FAIL - pot and kettle Martin, it really takes away any credibility you may have had!
How do you feel about the golly wog comment, bet you spat out your muesli and yogurt all over the Guardian.
Thanks for feeling offended for the rest of us, tough job but some holier than though PC protector has to do it still...means i can enjoy the likes of Clarkson

Without reading through all the replies here I'd just like to quickly post my view.
I'm Scottish, and what Clarkson said didn't register as offensive in any way. I have always liked him, because even when things on Top Gear are staged, you still feel that the things he says are genuinly his own opinions, and not the opinions of the people who make the show.
That in my opinion, is what separates Clarkson from 99% of the numpties on TV.

Given she was 6k miles away at the time, I'd forgive him for thinking he wouldn't get caught
Begs the question though, whats worse paying for a BJ from a hooker when your miles away from the Mrs or having an affair?
