Why does somebody disability cause you all so much glee??
Sure attack the guy if you don't like his politics or the way he's running the country, but why this endless fixation (from certain muppet SN members anyway) with the fact that the guy lost an eye, I mean how is that even remotely funny?
Maybe we should all be happy and have a good laugh at the fact that one of his children died, I mean come on guys that must be hillarious to some of you.

Gordon having one eye and his Scottish being has hardly anything to do with the way he runs the country, has it? But it had to be brought into the context by our arrogant and "full of himself" Jeremy 
I like Jeremy, I like his programmes, and I like his books. But he is arrogant as ****. Blinded by his own abilities, he loses social manners, comes off the tangent, and slates people for their shortcomings. People like Richard Hammond are cool to remain uneffected by him for being called "small" every two minutes, they have adjusted with his arrogance-***-humour type of wit. Laughing at someone's disability and their origin is funny, because it itself is an idiotic act for describing another idiot IMO. I actually love Jeremy from distance
, but I have to admit to the shortcomings of that wrinkly, fat-bellied, motormouth, corkend-ish, midlife crisis hit boyracer Clarkson

I haven't seen anyone on this thread displaying "glee" over the fact that he has one eye.
Pointing it out yes, and making some amusing comments, but I don't see anyone saying "I'm glad he lost his eye coz I hate him!"

He is not such a genius on this occasion. He has played a cheap and commonly used dice for publicity. Doubtlessly it should bring him more fortune from the masses, but with the critical and personal eye of mine, nothing extraordinary this time; to be classed as a genius.
Both Jeremy and I admire a man in common, though. his name is Hugh Grant Jeremy stands out for that, as liking for Hugh Grant is slightly extraordinary.

Without reading through all the replies here I'd just like to quickly post my view.
I'm Scottish, and what Clarkson said didn't register as offensive in any way. I have always liked him, because even when things on Top Gear are staged, you still feel that the things he says are genuinly his own opinions, and not the opinions of the people who make the show.
That in my opinion, is what separates Clarkson from 99% of the numpties on TV.
