Default where do you put your valuables?

i have an alarm on everything and feel that my house is pretty safe and secure but there is always the nagging doubt that if someone wants to get in then they will.

when i go out i try to make sure that nothing is left in the open or in obvious places. is this normal behavior or should i just relax a bit?

i still haven't found my stereo head unit i hid nearly three years ago

do you think your house is safe?

unless the safe is cemented into concrete and weight a ton then that would get stolen

i don't put any jewelery in a jewelery box as a thief would be very happy

Got 4 dogs .... the 5th one departed a little while ago now she was great - a brown newfoundland. She was only little really for her breed (weighed in at 8.5 stone) but the colour of her coat made her look like a small bear ..... even the jehova's witnesses stopped knocking on the door after i answered it with her beside me once lol!

Problem is that if they want something that bad they are probably going to get it, I still hide stuff in stupid places which I usually forget about. I like the surprise of finding stuff later on, like finding the crumpled up fiver after a night out.

where do you put your valuables?
In my heart

Besides that^ cheesy line, I decide not to disclose where I keep my valuables, thank you very much.

Did anyone read the news about a man smuggling pigeons to Australia? He had two valuable pigeons stuffed down his trousers He may get sent down for 10 years, or pay 50K fine for that! Christ.

Calm yourself a bit, You dont have to make your house break proof, You just have to make it more break proof than next door.

Wear all your jewellery ALL the time

The more 'off the wall' places you think of to stash your valuables the better. Not even I can find my Evo keys - no, hang on they are in the small car from the Monopoly set (which is in a plastic bag in the central heating header tank - the old tank, in the garden, behind the shed!)

I've got a safe bolted into the external wall, mainly it's for my laptop, but has a few other things like passports etc
