Firebrand training - anyone used them?

Someone else asked a couple of weeks ago

I didn't like the stay away nature of the courses and they are very aggressive at sales.

That was me.
I've done a little research on them.
Basically it seems they'll only teach you how to pass an exam and thats about it really.
We sent an employee over recently for a 7 day course.
I think the instructor was a bit of a ***** from what I hear, although knew what he was talking about.
Having said that, sending someone on a course which they don't know a terrible lot about the instructor could just feed them a load of sh1te and so long as it sounds plausible blah blah.......................
I'm going for a 4 day course and i'll report back with findings.
Just do a google search on firebrand training.
There good reports, bad reports and I suppose the indifferent.
Our employee summed up something like this.
Started at 8am, finished at somewhere between 8pm and 9.30pm
Then you're given stuff to read for the following day when it all starts again.
He said that he just studied as much as possible just so he would pass the exam and would not have to go back again.

Quite late now I know, but............
I went to them for a four day course.
It really 4.5 days because I started on the Saturday night - yes night!
6 o'clock meeting showing you the facilities for 15/20 minutes then into the classroom with the instructor and straight to work.
Finisned about 9.30pm.
Started Sunday 8.30am, finish about 9.45pm
Started Monday 8.30am, finished about 9.30pm.
Started Tuesday 8.30am, finished about 8.45pm.
Started Wednesday 8.00am, finished about 12.30 and did exam which lasted in my case for about 70 minutes - maximum time was 90minutes.
Very intensive as you can see.
