Nice, I love old planes, I think the golden era of aviation was the bit where props were ending and the jet age was dawning, Constellation's, Caravelle's 707's, Lightnings, Vulcan's (of course), Hunter's, Trident's etc, the liveries of commercial airliners are always so of their time as well, Dan Air, BEA, B.O.A.C etc, as a kid I always remember photo's from the 50's of impossibly shiny jets on huge runways against an improbably blue skies.
Some good photos of Manchester airport through the years available here.

The one on the first ad looks like a Mosquito.
I flew with the Arrows on a display in the Gnat. It was a little cracker to fly, the visibility in the rear was no worse than most in-line dual seaters. It was the best jet I ever flew for throttle control in formation. I don't think the Hawk is so impressive in their display as the Gnat was.

Keil Kraft Kits - isnt that name a bit dodgy?
Also I love the line "Supplies may be difficult but we are doing our best" - that just wouldnt work in todays modern world of the consumer!

Cool pics.
Reminds me of when I was a kid going round to see my grandparents and looking through old books and magazines they had in the loft and the cupboard under the stairs.

It could be sour grapes as my Dad's brother built Blackburn Buccaneers in Brough, just about the time I was born.
The S2 used to tool around the east coast firing ranges when I was a kid, I collected the spent 20mm and practice bombs !!
Fast as **** without VG wings but with tiny (boundary layer control) wings / tailplane
Wouldn't trouble you in a Canberra or Iron Triangle at height.. but what a cracking high speed pass at ground level at the air shows I went to as a kid

Quality, love those pics, thanks for sharing.
The last time I was passing through Narita they had lots of the old Airline posters from the 50's and 60's on the walls, also very cool

I used to have a bit of fun on the East Coast ranges too. We used to run a book on who got the best results-two bombs each for the two pilots and 2 for the Radar Navigator who was also the bomb aimer. Loser bought the beer
