Dumb mobile phone (SE 905) Question
Got my new SE C905 last night and am chuffed to bits with it. I may be a bit behind but it was rather handy being able to drop and drag pics and albums onto the USB flash adaptor and stick them straight on the phone, GPS is great (Orange Maps), the camera is very good (my proper camera need not worry though!) and it has very useful wifi so internet connection is brilliant BUT...
...do I have to pay anything when connected to the 'net via wifi? I assume not but thought I'd better check!
Oh and it hasn't broken yet so think I may NOT have a duffer (a few early ones seemed to die rapidly).

Not your own wifi but hotspots can charge but you'd see that straight away.
(and obviously no charge if you're stealing it off your neighbours )

Cheers Hank - just wanted to make sure there's not some sneaky charge.
Still a novelty to me - near high speed broadband download rates for no money on a mobile!

Hank - it seems to work the same as a laptop with wifi - searches for it then asks for a password if needed. Have to say that I'm rather impressed with it. Dragging and dropping a favourite photo of wife and the little boy from my laptop to the flash card was SO damn easy - now my wallpaper!
All my favourite albums stored too and even the sound is pretty good without headphones. Highly recommended.
Oh and I used a company recommended by another SNer - Orange quoted me over £120 to upgrade (I spend about £50 a month and have been a business customer for about 6 years, a normal customer for 6 years before that) and "forgot" to tell me about a loyalty discount I was entitled to.
This company did it for £20 and were far better.
Intek Mobile Phones - The best mobile deals - definitely worth a look if any of you want to upgrade. Good service, cheap and professional.

When I upgraded Orange wanted about £140 for the phone. I'm on a £35 contract and it didn't alter even if I increased my monthly tariff. I went to CPW and they did it for free. Still a £35 contract through Orange, Orange send bill etc exactly as before.
