My son's mate was here last night and I asked him how his dad was doing. Now his dad had a job escorting stroppy immigrants on their flight's home when they were kicked out of UK. I used to joke about his dad wanting to get back home early and simply "opening the back" door over the Atlantic saying goodbye

But apparently he has a new job now and get this...... He is somewhere overseas being trained as a security guard on pirate protection work around Somalia. All quite organised; no guns allowed but knives, axes and flame throwing stuff is fine. Apparently he had been shown a training video of pirates being repelled as their fingers were chopped off with an axe

My lad's mate came up with the disarming comment "mum's very cross about all this!"

Axe's and flame throwers are little resistance to an AK47 though. I know which one I'd rather be holding.

I can't see why they don't just blow the to55ers out of the water. Get a few destroyers out there, or at the very least, some small boats with heavy machine guns and shoot them on sight.
