Camping Equipment
Anyone on here in to camping?
Looking for some kind of camping mat/mattress which is not an inflatable one (as these seem crap!)
We have come across Airic (Alpkit) self inflating airbeds (in sizes fat/slim/reg/wee) which seem to get good reviews however the biggest is only 7.5cm thick and are quite expensive!
Just looking for any suggestions on what to get as off to F1 in June.
Thanks

used various things in the past for various different reasons - scooter rallies, walking, f1 etc. just take two duvets (or quilts if you're from that part of the country)

I have got a couple of ThermaRest mattresses, including a Base Camp which may only be two inches thick but definitely does the job
You can get 'em at Blacks, Cotswold Outdoor (which stupidly insists that you allow Google Analytics to run on your computer before you can view their site) and Go Outdoors etc.

just type 'foam' into google, pick a firm and you can pick your size, firmness, thickness, ect. for about £20 delivered!! (i'm assuming you won't be carrying it around or hiking.

Got a Blacks self inflating mat and its pretty damn comfy.
A billion times better then the old closed cell foam sleeping mats but they do take up a little more room then an airbed.
