Best way to buy Euros?
ie get the best rate on your stirling.
This would include getting it out at the other end via an ATM, rather than necessarily having the Euros in my hand at this end.
Cheers

Are you talking sums in the region of holiday spending money or buying a property?
XE.com used to (long time since I used them) be really good for large amounts say £10000+ but if you're only looking for a small amount then exchanging sterling at the other end often attracts a better rate than the equivalent travellers cheque.

+2, although if you use your visa card you will be charged a fee by visa from experience which can sometimes negate the cost of buying at a lower rate via say your own bank where the charge is usually waved.
its all about how much you would have to do the math
