Define fair priced?

Crabwall Manor is a very nice, slightly out the centre but not too far to get a taxi or drive.

Chester Grosvenor if you've got deep pockets!

I remember taking the missus there for her 21st [a few years ago. lol]
We stayed at a plush hotel right in the centre and they messed up on our booking so they gave us the honeymoon suite to keep us happy.
Can't rememebr the hotel name but Chester seemed ok.

Have a look at Hotel Roma - Welcome. It's been a few years since I stayed there but it was always very reasonably priced and has the advantage of being in the centre of the city (and has secure and free car parking available).

There is an Italian restaurant in the basement. Breakfasts are a bit average but for the price you can't really complain.

CROWNE PLAZA HOTEL CHESTER HOTELS | CHESTER | Official Hotel Site

It's a nice hotel and right in the town centre and it has parking (but you need to pre-book it or you'll end up in the pay&display across the road, which is still fairly secure)
