Premium Bonds - worth having anymore?

Premium Bonds - worth having anymore?
Now that the payout % has been slashed, it is difficult to get a return from these - but there is still the chance of a big win ...... the cost of having them is the lost interest.
Has anyone pulled out of them now?

I'm going to keep mine. Interest from banks and building societies is hardly worth worrying about these days. At least with the bonds you have a chance of winning and your money should in theory be perfectly safe.
And Ive won £250 in the last 3 draws

If you have a quantity in a block, for example you buy £5k at once, I think you still have a chance of making a few hundred a year.
I have £15k and I get an average of £50 a month. I could get more in asian markets, pension funds etc but I like having a few bonds.
Safe, easy to get to and the return is a lot better than the daily mail would have you believe.

Someone got one for my Son when he was born. He is 18 now and never won a thing.
Mind you, we moved 12 years ago and never registered the new address. He may have millions hidden

Prizes never go out of date, if you have moved and didn't update you can put the numbers in on the thing on the website and it checks for you
Worth keeping its a bit of fun and I think you probably still have a good chance of winning if you have the max.

I have found that unless you buy a lot of them in a big block of sequential numbers you are less likely to win.
for amounts over £15k it would be my experience that it pays better than interest from a savings account.
