Hello,

My 3210 is finally getting a bit dated now and I fancy an upgrade. I'll have some money soon, not sure how much but could be anything in the region of £125 - £250 so I'm looking for a cheap place to get phones. I like the new Nokias, especially the 8310, but I fear they may be a little out of reach for my budget.

Most important thing is that I need it Sim Free and compatible with Pay As You Go. Easy eh?

Any advice/links/ideas?

Best thing is too look out for someone who upgraded and get their old phone as you can just whack ur pay as you go sim in it and you'll probably get it for £20 as its more than what the mobile company will pay if they hand it back in. Maybe a problem if you want the latest phone model.

The 8310 looks a little tacky for me with the plastic buttons and the chrome up down pad. Hence why Im waiting to see what the 6510 and 7650 look like in the flesh.

Just phone up whoever the contract is with and see whats on the go.
I always sell my old phones on the auctions.
Must have made 200 notes from selling 4 phones. It pays for the phone bills!
Just sold a 3210 for 40 quid and got a 3330 for a tenner new from vodaphone.
btw try voda retail - I got a years line rental for 80 sovs.

From what I've heard the 8310 is suffering from reliability problems. I heard this about the 8210 aswell but have never had any problems in the 2 years that I've owned mine.

IMO the phone to go for now is the Nokia 6310. It's a little on the large side (no bigger than a 3210) but it's a cracking phone! Have a look at the Nokia website.

Eriksson (sp?) appear to be catching up to Nokia. Their latest bluetooth phone looks pretty good - it's also got a colour display.

Andy.
