What did you get from the big fat man ?
Well xmas has come and gone in our household ...all done in about 40 mins from start to finish
Was woken up by the little ankle biters around 7.30, not bad I suppose, could have been a lot earlier. The eldest swore blind that he heard santa stumbling and bumbling around last night (though I am sure Daddy does a similar impression )
The youngest came shooting upstairs to say " He's been, he's been !!!!! "
When asked how did he know, he replied
" The carrots and whiskey have gone !!! "
Obviously hadnt noticed this lot
nor some rather large footprints
or this one
Anyway, Santa had definately been, so off we were dragged downstairs and we managed a quick coffee before the present opening (sorry, ripping of paper ) started !!
They did pretty well for themselves, enough Disney princess to fill a house, remote control cars, Nintendo DS and transformers, colouring books etc
After that it was "Mummy I want this open, Daddy build this for me " for about an hour.
I got some cracking presents, books, DAB radio for the car, tons of vodka and a nifty little gadget for the mac
My g/f doesnt know yet, but she hasnt found her BIG present
Will keep you posted what her reaction is when she does

Ooh sounds like an exciting morning in the Swisstopher household
It's about the polar opposite here, got up, Bob went to work, I've been doing housework. But I did manage to unwrap a very nice Tiffany necklace that Santa left for me before he went to work, I mean back to Lapland
My Christmas starts at tea time tonight when my folks get here, that is if they can bear to drag themselves away from the new grandchild at the opposite end of the country this morning

Nice post Chris.
It was a much quieter affair here today. Opened a few presses already. One of the presents I did get and will totally enjoy watching is The Complete Box Set of Monty Pythons Flying Circus. Not actually seen many of their sketches only snippets, so watching them in full with be a laugh.

My dad bought me and the Mrs a nice new LCD TV, just got round to setting it up, looks fantastic, especially as it replaced a huge old thing which needed to be dropped on it's stand every morning to stop it whinning (bit like the mrs really?).

Mine must have fallen from the sleigh.
According to my tracking number my gift will arrive on the 31 Dec.
I wouldnt have have much time to admire it anyway, I have assembled a Playmobile airoplane/control tower and airport.
I am now struggling to set up MB Games MouseTrap, what a nightmare, I would rather re-build a flat four with boxing gloves on and with no instructions.
I am also slightly concussed as my Son threw a stretchy scooby doo and I caught it with my head.....they are a proper heavy/dead weight.

Did the MouseTrap thing......he didnt want to play the game, just wanted to put the 3 ball bearings in the loo and see how fast he flush them down.
Can I **** get the last bit to work, the actual Mouse Trap release bit, but hey, tomorrow Im going to hide the thing, along with Buckaroo and Operation.
He should be reading watch magazines anyway........

I got a Wii and Guitar Hero World Tour from my folks
But I've only got one controller so the band is a bit limited at the moment, however, Argos are open tomorrow and my second controller and nunchuck are ready and waiting for me to collect

Well I am well chuffed with what I got ..
A Canon G9
A PS3 game
4 dvds
Socks (ones that actually last)
money
+ all the other usual stuff
Is it just me, or do kids toys take forever to undo now, I don't mean the unwrapping of the paper, I mean ALL the wires, tags, tape etc. When I was younger, you would unwrap the paper and take the pressie out of it's box your self, now the kids need adult help just to play with their toys.

Been a good year this year
My list went like this :
New swanky leather swivle chair (my old one was well nakered)
Money
£50 of car road tax stamps
Smellys
New Clarkson Hardback book
Fancy razor that vibrates!
Massive tub of jelly teddies sweets
Trafford center vouchers
Very tidy DKNY watch off the girlfriend (and a raindeer posing pouch )
Socks and loads of other little things
All opened after stuffing our faces with the full turkey dinner with all the trimmings
Still found room to guzzle down loads of chocky whilst playing festive games, i still feel stuffed now
Although knowing theres still half a mahoosive cooked turkey chilling out in the kitchen is never far from my thoughts

We had 13 round for Christmas dinner today, all went well I suppose, but the news about my Aunt dying this morning has really just hit me I think, We had a good day but I can't help thinking how bad it must be for my cousins and their kids As I say the reality is just hitting me now and I feel like ****
Hope you all had a better day
