13 Year old Suicide bomber
Quite old news this one, but has featured a lot on my local news.
This chap had been married for 4 months when a 13 year old suicide bomber blew him up in Afghanistan. He was carrying the bomb in a wheel barrow.
It's sad for a lot of reasons, but what I can't get my head around is what the parents of the 13 year old boy had been teaching him? 13!!! Do they get a million quid for getting the son to do their dirty work?
I find it beyond belief.

That 13 year old was just a normal kid..... some ones son etc. Children are USED by Terrorists to do their dirty work. Easy to corrupt and brain wash.
Real terrorists are too scared to get hurt. they get kids etc to do it for them. They sit back and count the money and enjoy the Kudos.
one of the most amazing men in this country was the father of one of the Muslim boys that attacked London a few years ago......
I remember the pic of him at his sons grave trying to come to terms (from both side) to what his son had done and why. That man had Dignity and my respect. We cannot blame the parents sometimes, its a very different world for many.

One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.
To many Afghans, we are are an invading army.
That's why 13 year olds are willing to give their life to defend thier country.
Right or wrong, it all depends on which side of the fence you are on. Either way it is a tragedy - For soldier and child.

You are manning a checkpoint close to Helmand Province when you notice through your field glasses a young girl walking towards you and your squad pushing a pram along side the normal checkpoint traffic.
You wait and observe until she is in clear view and earshot, by now you have made an assumption she is a girl of 8-12 years of age, local, and defonately pushing a covered dolls pram.
You shout STOP.
she carries on.
You shout STOP NOW and hand gesture stop, knowing full well she is within hearing distance from you.
She carries on towards you.
What would YOU do ?
