You can get up and walk around on a train, would that help? Though I suppose you could stop at the services in a car for a stroll in the fresh air.
Alternatively, share the driving so it limits your time as a passenger so it maybe doesn't hit you so quickly...?

Get some Kwell's (Hyoscine Hydrobromide) from the pharmacy.
If travelling by car then look forwards and try not to move your head around a lot causing a shift in your horizon.
You may possibly suffer from vertigo?

Iv gone for Stergeron before now ( 4hrs before you leave) before a rough sailing trip - however makes you bit drowsy / spaced out
Might have saved me spewing - difficult to tell.
At least you wont have a claustrophic cabin / diesel fumes to put up with

Surely this would be a GOOD thing? No barfing and asleep for the journey. Gets my vote.
Or you could go half asleep and give the driver a good laugh with the incoherent ramblings of a space-cadet
I did read that sucking a lemon helps... but no snogging when you get there!

In a car, look forwards, to the middle or far distance, dont keep turning to look out the side wondows. keep the temperature cool and dry - aircon on if you have it. Keep up a conversation to keep your mind occupied, but defintely dont read books or concentrate on stuff inside the cabin.
Personally, i dont like trains, I used to get sick on them although havent for a while now. Again, keep looking at the middle distance where things are moving past at a relatively slow speed. Unfortuntaly, on a train you have little control over the temperature or surrounding smells in the carriage, plus if you have to barf, a train toilet is hardly a nice place to do so.

Another vote for Sturgeron However, they make me into a zombie for about 8 hours, so no good if I'm going to be driving far after the boat trip. Beats honking my ring up on the ferry though.

I have to use Sturgeron for Plane and boat or travel, otherwise you could try some of the herbal anti sickeness stuff which I have used and it seemed ok, but if was rough I would opt for Sturgeron.

I would go via car, I hate the rocking motion on trains. If you want an alternative to taking pills then sea-bands might be worth a try (£4 or £5 in Boots).

Thing is its more dizziness than sickness really and its been happening for the last 3 years and is bad when i travel. I thought it might be motion sickness and i think thats part of the problem as ive always had that. hummmmm!!!
If you do, then it will undoubtedly get worse when you have to travel (away from home, mild agarophobia??) and will subconsciously upset your breathing, you'll then feel a bit lightheaded etc which in turn could cause you to tense everything else up, you'll feel sick and bingo, you'll be presented with all the symptoms that travel sickness probably causes........
Just a theory as I don't know you at all and you may be the most relaxed dude on the planet but reading your initial post it points me in that direction...?

whatever you do don't get those funny wrist bands with beads on the "accupuncture points" well, if you do get in a supply of sick bags as I guarantee they don't work !
