Anyone else getting bored with the word "chav" on Scoobynet?
Every thread I seem to open now has this word in it, chav this and chav that.
Anything that has any kind of fashion relevance or involving young people is instantly labeled as "chav"
This word gets thrown about so much these days it is losing its meaning.

OK, so you are a chav if you've never heard of this Shakespere quote.
What would that make someone who misquotes Shakespere in a futile attempt to look clever?

Yes. I'm particularly tired of the idiots who keep referring to items as being 'chav'; in ignorance of the fact that their grammar is so poor, that they're likely candidates themselves...

The word lost its meaning long ago when the press glamorised it. I never understood why people wanted to be associated with it, as in my book its akin to scum.
So I prefer to just calling them scum, just as I did before.
If its an object, its tat or junk. Or if its a car, its called a shed.

I hated the word when it first came out, did my tree in, anyone under 20 was apparently a Chav, it got threw about alot more then, I refused to even use the word. Started using it now as its use has calmed down alot IMO.
