Another daft question..whisky macs
Got a few friends coming over Saturday.Xmas Drinks at ours then out for a meal.
Will be offering up mulled wine and whisky macs (or whatever anyone wants!)
Here's the thicko question..I understand a whisky mac is whisky (40%?) plus ginger wine (13.5%) does that make the drink 53.5% strong?!

Say it was a one part whisky to four parts ginger wine....
In the whisky unit its 40% alcohol by volume so 0.4 is alcohol, 0.6 is everything else (water)
In the ginger wine its 0.135 alcohol.
So the total alcohol is (1*0.4) + (4*0.135) = 0.94.
As a percentage of the five units 0.94 / 5 = 18.8% alcohol by volume
Enjoy a few Whisky Macs myself. Use the cheap whisky though, not single malt
