I've seen it before but can't remember if it was on here
Your banishment has been postponed

It is amazing that no one was killed in that accident though, the tree seems to have sheared right through the car

Remember seeing that posted up here a while ago - one seriously lucky guy!

He must have really been going some to do that to the car tho! Would take a very high energy impact to rip the car apart like that.

Could it be that the emergency services cut it apart?

I suppose hitting a tree cant help though.

No, I don't think so, that was the point of the post I think, as it was amazing that the tree had done this, iirc

If that was the case the driver wouldn't be standing there reading his text messages.

Indeed, plus the addition of the text regarding 'single car' etc. on the pictures, would be rather pointless.

Not in a million years is that genuine. no damage to tree. To do that sort of damage to the car the tree would me well smashed and marked. Also i dont believe thats the driver.

So you know for certain that there were no passengers in the car then?

This has been around for a while, but it is genuine, and that is the driver. The tree has been pulled up by the roots a few inches.

Anyone who's ever hit a tree and lived to tell the tale will vouch for how little they move. Why do you think you see so many bunches of flowers tied to trees on the outside of bends?

No, infractor I don't, except to say if there were, again I doubt the driver would be standing there like he is.

pmsl at the naysayers.

You wanna see the pics of my Beetle that I rolled plenty times and no one said I could have walked away from it unscathed.
Weird things can and do happen, hence the pics.

Could be fake, I don't know for certain, all I know is that the pics have been around for a while and no one has been able to disprove what has been said of them. (but lets not get into the proof/lack of proof argument, eh)

At the end of the day, to me it's a bit of a waste of a nice car and an apparent lucky escape by the driver

There's nothing to say it is fake or otherwise. It's called debating the "facts"

VWvortex Forums: Crazy crash - RS6 in half

I'm still not sure it was a fake, as mentioned, though

NOT fake. It happened on 23rd Feb 2007.

"The accident happened on the road between Goesdorf and Dahl, shortly after 17:00, when its driver lost control and collided with a roadside tree. The impact broke the car in two.

Amazingly, the driver survived the crash and was found in the wreckage when the emergency services arrived on the scene. It is understood that he walked away from the accident with the aid of ambulance staff. He was later brought to hospital in Wiltz.

The police believe that excessive speed was a contributory factor in the accident."

Oh you had a case? Like you have a case over a typo several years ago and hound PS Lewis like a disgruntled child who's poo'd his nappy.
