The Prodigy - Music For The Jilted Generation
Listening to it now on iPlayer, part of Zane Lowe's Masterpieces week.
Described as the greatest dance album of all time, think he's got a point
******* superb. Takes me back to my raving days. Saw them live a few times back then including at my first Glastonbury when Keith came onto stage in a giant hamster ball type thing. Utterly superb live, total madness
Fat Of The Land is right up there too

Can remember the hype this album got before it's release and it didn't disappoint. My mate held BBQ the day it was released and we must have listened to it 5 times that day.
Saw them perform at the Zap club in Brighton a couple of months after the album came out, they were awesome then and even better now. The version of "their law" was aimed at the old bill that night, brilliant

Fantastic album . . . but then they all are. Your Love is still my favourite Prodigy track Roll on next weekend at Brixton Haven't seen them live since about 92 and watched Muse instead at V as I've never seen them live and they clashed sets.

Liam Howlett is a genius ,his music has stood the test of time it's instantly recognisable no matter whether it's from his first album or his latest tune 9which is immense imo).
some of my fave tunes are
YouTube - The Prodigy - Android (house)
YouTube - Prodigy - Weather Experience
YouTube - The Prodigy - One Love

Your Love.
interesting tale i was told about this from the CDT student helper when i was in school is that it was not originally a prodigy track, it was by another group and was called "Northen"
i could never work out if this bloke was full of **** or not, but he brought a "northen" tape in once and gave us a listen, and it was nigh on identical, bar it was a lot slower in tempo.
if you slow the "your love" track right down, it does actual sound like "Northen"
should really google it
the missus has just got her tickets for the prodigy up here in newcastle land and was trying to get me to go, but i am to old and croaky for that raving **** nowadays

Cant find anything on the web about it
this lad was well into the "scene" back then and was hanging around with "Bass Generator" lol so god knows if its true or not?
i suspect that the "northen" track was released by howlett under another name, probably a whitelabel and then updated later on.

wowsers, it seams the old CDT technician was not telling porkies after all
although the storys been tweaked a bit over time a little bit by the sounds of it
turns out that "your love" was in fact released under white label earlier on, although liam was responsible for it

n 1993, Howlett released an anonymous white label White label
White label records are 12" vinyl records with plain white label stickers....
, bearing only the title "Earthbound I". Its hypnotic, hard-edged sound won wide underground approval. Many former critics of the band were astounded when Howlett finally acknowledged responsibility for the record. It was officially released as "One Love" later that year, and went on to chart at #8 in the UK.
