4 year old son a DS, 1 year old daughter more toys to go with the room full she already has. No idea for my 11 year old as he has everything already and really do not know what to get him, even he says there isn't anything he has his eye on - that's the joy of him effectively having two families and doubles up on presents every birthday and Christmas

Got them both a hamper from Fortnum and Mason.
They're adults with their own homes.
Fortnum's do some seriously nice food! and champagne and wine

Our monsters will be nearly 10 months old. We've got them a few little presents as I'm pretty sure both sets of grandparents will dote on them this year.
Now they are self-propelled, keeping them away from the tree is going to be a full-time job.

Yes, don't underestimate the value/amusement value of the boxes! Bigger the better

No idea what to get my lads as they have everything between them already.
My 10 year old caused me to hold back a few tears the other day by saying
"Dad, it's really not important that we (his brother and himself) have presents for Christmas this year. I know things are hard for us. As long as we are happy together on our holiday next year things will be OK. You can use my savings to help if you want, I don't need the money."
I felt such pride that I struggled to hold myself together

My daughter is 7. We asked her to write a list a few weeks ago. We gave her a pen, an A4 sheet of paper and the Argos catalogue. She wrote down 24 items (I think she was holding back to be fair)
We wittled the list down by removing anything we thought too complicate, too messy or just looked a bit rubbish (the kids laptops are like £80+ for a crappy little black and white LCD display)
However, someone has given her a "proper" Santa list writing kit which she intends to do this evening - I can put strong money on her choosing completely different toys to what we've bought her.
We've held back though this year. Two years ago we bought a rocking horse thats hardly used and last year we bought a talking dog (lexie at 90 quid) which doesn't understand you unless you use a bratty yank accent to talk to it.
