But............

I've seen people get 5 yrs for smashing people's faces in and robbing them. Leaving the victim with a battered face and never being able to walk the street again.

Or, 3yrs for almost being killed by someone stabbing them 10+ times for their phone.

I have little confidence in this country's tariffs on crime and punishment.

People blame the judges - but it's tariffs set by the government that define the sentences.

No one was hurt, so the facts will be that Shannon was locked up for a time, and the intent of her mother and the other one for the money used to give sentence. I may be wrong - hope so.

I would chain the pair of them up in the park of their own villiage.
Then let all the people that went out looking for Shannon and were genuinely worried about her have their closure.

I'd like to see the pair of them kicked and stamped to death and left to rot.

I agree with this for a lot of criminals.

We have loads of un-inhabited islands of our coast, far enough away from the rest of us, and they shoud be used more.

Each region could send the top ten criminals in the area for that year and the crime rate would plummit.

For the original question. He will get about 5 years, she will get about 3. She will appeal, reduced to 2, out in 12 months with a new identity and a new house. Will write a book, go on 'I'm a celebrity - get me out of here' be the new face of Iceland and be worth millions.

I'm guessing about 5-6 years. She will not get a cushy time of it inside though, Donovan got his jaw broken when he was on remand. If she ever goes back to Dewsbury Moor it's highly likely she'd be killed on sight.

The street parties in her Chav estate will probably run as long.... a bunch of scumbag wasters that will no doubt make thousands in "interviews" with Heat, OK, GMTV, Sky, etc, etc..... as well as being elevated to the ranks of local "celebrity" ..... and I'm sure there'll be another "pay day" on her eventual release!

The Government should be able to step in and take any "fees" paid to these Chavs in lieu of all the benefits these fat and lazy wastes of space.... still I suppose at least the local Spar will no doubt have a good few weeks shifting cheap lager, **** and cider on the back of all these "interviews".
