Default Superman Returns

Just saw the BBC trailer showing this as one of their Christmas movies.

My gift to you all... don't bother, it's poop.

So - what did you get me?

Really? I thought it opened up a whole new world to the story.

I thought it sucked too which was a shame because I thought Bryan Singer's X Men 2 was really good - I think he started to get ideas above his station. He's on with the follow up to the Superman film for release in 2011

I quite liked it actually (and my son loved it) and was hoping they would do another one (there is talk of Kevin Spacey returning again also).

I met Brandon Routh last year and I thought he was a really nice guy

I take it that if its not full of special effects it doesnt count?
The film pushed the story or way for the story to really move forward leaving a whole new generation being able to enjoy Superman and want to know what happens next, lefts be honest before SR the story couldn`t go anywhere,
Now there Could be a child etc it opens up so many more possibilities,

Its like watching The dark knight etc just for the effects, there is a story line and story to be told,
If your a fan of the comics etc then it matters,
I do understand that most people go to the cinema for action scenes and flashing lights but you must want more ?

Nope, I'm not an effects fan, I just like to be entertained and it was two and half hours of dull and while some people may appreciate it on levels I don't, still not (IMHO) a Christmas family movie by any stretch.

I thought it was pretty good and subsequently have it on DVD, each to their own I guess.

Likewise, even started to fill up at hearing the classic John Williams tune in the cinema, what a poof

It's actually a very good follow on from the second film.

No, no, no , no, no!!!! What the ****!
It was a pile of cr@p, I was looking forward to it and then they came out with that so called great storyline. Pish! There are tonnes of decent storylines that could have been used but they plumped for a completely wishy washy, bs and quite lazy, storyline.

Loyal to the comics, you must be joking!!

The film was pap. Simple as.
Some might like it, fair enough, but don't go saying it's loyal to the graphic novels and a decent storyline when there were already plenty to choose from without cocking it all up like they did

F***in' goddamn, I need a motherf****** cig
