Bugger !
I am in trouble, just reversed out of our drive and reversed into a Renault Megane, I looked but a combination of dark windows, crap street light, being high up, a dark night and dark blue car against out neighbours oppressive 8ft conifer hedge rendered it practically invisible, I looked back, no sign of it and as I stopped, crunch, one very dented door on the Megane and a lovely dent on our Galaxy.
My fault entirely, still might encourage them not to park right in front of our drive.

Too easy to do under the circumstances. Does anyone else find that pedestrians seem to pick the time when you have started to reverse to walk behind your car and then start mouthing off about it?

Had another look afterwards, side on it was invisible, only the street light picking out the front a back showed it up at all, from in the car, even worse due to the darkened glass, my fault entirely but annoying all the same considering the circumstances.
The owner was not even slightly bothered, more intent on his key which were missing, cos of the darkness he didnt notice the dent until I pointed it out, as J4ckos mate pointed out he will becomed arsed at the weekend, wonder if he will claim whiplash by proxy ?

They also do it when just driving forward out of junctions etc., I've found.
I once had literally about 5 people on the bonnet of my car as a load of dopey commuters who had just got off a train decided to literally jump in front of my old Megane Coupe as I drove into the road that had become clear.
I was aware they were there (could have walked around the back of my car easily ) but at the moment the accellerator went down, they literally leaped in front of me. Nothing hurt but their pride, so they mouthed off at me whilst I smiled and droved off
Done the same as you before, J4CKO, easily done in some situations.
Used to have a neighbour who parked directly across from my drive, dark coloured car, low light etc. nudged it once accidentally. No damage to my awesome Rover 214si but there was a wee dent in his door (which popped out easy, phew!) I voiced my annoyance at his inconsiderate parking, as there were loads of other places to park, he was pretty cool about it and didn't park there again
Hope it all works out and the wife doesn't kill ya!!
