Whatever happened to Tom & Jerry?
They used to be on every weekend at some point as a fill-in between programs ...... why no Tom & Jerry??
Is it because it's too violent for today's PC World?
Is it because it had a coloured housemaid and would offend someone?
Anyone any explaination?
I miss them

Some versions of the 1940's classics have had the black woman's voice re-dubbed. Happily, the original versions are still available and still **** funny.

Quality! Will have to have a look for episodes with the original audio! "Tom get yo bitch-*** in here homie, or ama' gonna call da po-lice!" etc!

I prefer the original T&G the ones directed by "Fred Quimby"
the artwork and depth of expression in the earlier cartoons far exceeds todays cell shaded "talking rubbish"

But yes, they were the best. However, the early Hannah & Barbera ones immediately after Quimby still had some quality cartoons, although the artwork wasn't quite as good.
Still on all the time in their original glory, even the very ealry one(s) where Tom wasn't Tom at all, but Jasper the Cat!

Darn, couldn't remember if it was produced or directed, so i gave him the top slot
My all time favs are the one where jerry is in the bowling alley , and
the one where he gets a tux and goes ice skating

I heard Tom joined so solid crew and got locked up after an urban music award show for selling crack to Dizzy.
Jerry ended up selling his body after he realised that doing house breaks for DVD players would no longer pay the bills.
They are both due to appear on Trisha in the next few weeks.

Used to be a real treat ,especially when you got a double bill! 24 hour cartoons for kids now,no wonder they are mad.
Can't stand Computer generated stuff that our kids watch....mickey mouse clubhouse and Winnie the Pooh created by computer...just rubbish IMO
