Default Made the mistake of using my real number

Did an Insurance quote on Tesco .. which now compares with others apparently..

I've had about 9 calls from the listed companies .. WHY ?? Clearly if I wanted to take it with them I would of done it online ??

I never use my number but thought I was gonna take one this time ...

This is a warnin to others

I got a warm feeling when I used the land line number for my local Tesco store in Aldershot.
I still imagine there on the phone now

I registered a 0871 number a few years ago for just this reason. I never give out my home number but use this 0871 number which redirects to my home number.

When you need to phone these companies, they use a 0871 number and make money from your call. Well if they want to speak to me, it will cost them as well. Got a £37 rebate last year from cold callers or companies I already deal with trying to sell me additional services.

I gave an old mobile number from a phone I rarely use and got 3 or 4 calls from companies offering to beat the best quote on the site. Ended up saving a few quid, so I'm not complaining. (This was for bike insurance).
