Default Sky HD Offers

It appears from their web site that the reduced cost offer has finished
I was thinking of phoning and taking a chance that they would still offer me it at the promotional rate, anyone got it recently and did you get it at the reduced level.
Am i correct in thinking the offer was 75 quid?
Nik.

It was £75 for the box with £30 install.

Now £99 with £60 install.

Dave.

Do you already have Sky+?? If so I would just buy a HD box from eBay and do it yourself. The LMB is the same, only the box is different.

I paid nearly £300 for my SkyHD box. The technician came out, changed the box over and phoned Sky to alert them that I now had a HD box. He was in my house less than 10 minutes.

I could've done that myself and saved myself a load of money.

Yup, I bought my HD box from a local retailer and fitted it myself, once plumbed in you just phone Sky to get it activated. Power lead, 2 x F type, phone line, 0 to 3 RF TV antenna depending on your install, and SCART's . Simply unplug existing box, making a note of what goes where, and plug in the new one. The only real difference is the HDMI cable for HD, which will replace the SCART that you probably use from Sky to TV at the moment.

You can also get HD taken off again in the future to save cash. (Didn't install the dish for a few months after I moved). Problem with that is that most of the anytime recordings are still in HD and you can't watch them.
