12 v battery charger advice ???
Okay folks anyone able to help me out, bit confused as to exactly what battery charger I would require for the following type off battery, have emailed the seller twice now but as yet still no reply ??!!
okay here is the link to the battery I have, as I say bit confused regards the various ratings if anyone could check them out for me and advise exactly what the biggest charger I could get away with for use with this particular battery ??
a link to a suitable charger on ebay would be perfect !!!
12V 0.8Ah sealed lead-acid battery on eBay, also Other Rechargeable Batteries, Rechargeable Batteries, Batteries Battery Chargers, Consumer Electronics (end time 18-Dec-08 18:36:01 GMT)

Okay thanks mate yep did notice the table within that page but to be honest did not think it covered this particular battery size, anyone confirm the 1st charger in the table would be suitable for this particular battery size ??

It doesn't say what voltage it charges up to (barring the obvious 12v) or if its voltage regulated. I.e its not an automatic charger:
Point being sealed lead acids should not be charged much above 14.6v (at room temp, decrease if hotter, increase if colder) for any duration as they gas-off and lose their electrolyte, eventually ruining the battery.
That charger otherwise should be ok, just don't leave it on permanently, or too long. And monitor state of charge with a voltmeter, shutting it off if the voltage gets too high.
Alternative you can get a automatic "intelligent charger" or constant voltage charger which you can leave to its own devices until its told you its finished charging. I.e like this : 12V Sealed Lead-Acid Battery Charger > Maplin
