Good, with any luck the greedy Jap b*stards will go bust............THEY have always been one of the worst at £ for $ pricing, and trying to screw money out of people again and again. I hate them royally.

The sales man in my local sony shop told me this the other day and i thought he was at it just trying to get a sale.

I've had 2 x Sony TV, 2 x VHS recorder, DVD player and camcorder. Plus PS1, 2, 3.

Both TVs were fine. Both VHS recorders failed within 2 years. The DVD player still works but is a bit choosey about the DVDs it plays. The camcorder worked OK for about 2 years but playback and record are a bit dodgy.

All the playstations have been fine. I read somewhere that Sony are not that well regarded in their native land and have a reputation for going **** up after 12 months. I do think their TV and camcorder range are very good.

I have one of these to play with this weekend



I have no idea how to fly it but just look at the amount of buttons it has!

They might increase prices, but due to the credit crunch Curry's/Comet etc will be knocking money off anyway.

I want a Plasma next year. My manufacturers of choice are either Sony (Have always bought Sony in the past) or Panasonic.

If Sony are more expensive, I'll just but a Panasonic instead.

I have always found Sony very over-priced. Bit like the 'BMW' condition, only poorer quality.

exactly, not like there is a lack of other brands out there, let Sony raise their prices, people will just buy other brands, hardly breaking news really
