Anyone here worried for their job?
Personally, I should be OK - hopefully!

Financial services here
Things are particularly slow with the majority of work going on calming the fears of existing clients. We have a small admin team and at the moment its quite clear that the amount of work available for two people currently could be done by one person.
I'm the most qualified admin and been here the longest so I'm not the first to go. We are potentially looking at issues if we do make someone redundant because I am related to a director and the "favoritism" card may be used in any disputes.

Know loads that are quiet. A couple have been laid off.
I have been on a four day week for 10 weeks now and have been told we are on a two day week until we pick up and get some orders.
Its not looking good

Every sinlge person I talk to at the minute is worried about the job they are in, including me and the bird! At least 5 of my mates have been laid off in the last month or so. It's a horrible thing to worry about, not sure if anyone else is in the same boat, but if I lost my job I would have to go in to something totally different to what I've been doing for the last 12 years - and start at the bottom again! Not even sure what to get in to if I do lose my job!!

I'm in Construction (Industrial Roofing & Cladding) and although we aren't affected now (Full order book) I can't say the same for this time next year. If projects get canceled, then it will affect us.
Luckily we seem to be involved in a lot of Schools/Colleges & Hospitals lately, and are Government backed, so hopefuly we will be unaffected. Touch wood.
