Seen the musical twice now, fantastic.

One of the only times I have sung in public.

Having seen the film I would recommend you go to see the stage show .

There's not enough singers in the film - They went for big name actors - who basically can't sing to save their lives !

ps - And the acting's pretty pish too

Do you have to hand in your man badge at the door?

No - but it would be nice if you could leave your daffy wife who convinced you it wouldn't be that bad

Cheers guys (interesting that its the guys who have answered )

Basically the missus has seen the film and thought it was dire, and said that Meryl Streep made her ears bleed !

But we are going to New York in January (my 40th bday present) and I am going to watch Spamalot on Broadway with my Bro in Law, and my sister wants to take Donna to Mama Mia on Broadway too, and she has been a bit unsure due to the film

My mate (who incidentally is gay) loved the stage show and has seen it lots of times, my sister (who is a girl) has also seen the stage show and loved it, I (who like to think of myself as a girl but am seriously deluded) would love to see the stage show too

I have seen Mama Mia, the musical at Prince of Wales Theatre a couple of years ago and I throughly enjoyed it. Not seen the film, so could not comment . But I think any stage production is far better than a hollywood film production.
