Default A bit of Bank Advice Please

Long story, and I have a habit of going on a bit, so I'll just keep it simple.

How much hassle and time does it take to open up a new bank account? I wish to leave my current bank, and set up elsewhere (just basic account).

Possibly a stupid question, but I've been with mine from my first savings account until now, and just don't know how it all works. Any advice appreciated.

Try A&L - Should take about 3 minutes. Once you have a current account - YOU MIGHT EVEN GET A CAR LOAN

Ha ha . Not wanting anything other than a basic account, just trying to take a bit of control. I will definately behave.

Seriously A&L do as much as they can. AFAIK they pay interest on any credit balance in a current account

Helps if youve got one already

A&L i think were the easiest - ive opened 14 recently

Face to face was by far the slowest!
